Mateo Toro, born in Medellin Colombia, is a passionate cinematographer/ director of photography and photographer based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Mateo’s keen eye and understanding of the cinematic language creates stunning visuals that transports viewers into the stories he works on. Mateo’s skills behind the lens have allowed him to work on a variety of projects from commercials, short films, music videos, branded content, and this year he will be filming his first feature film, Children of a Fatherless child. Mateo is a camera-owner operator with multiple camera packages, lighting and grip equipment, and sound equipment as well available to rent on projects.

Mateo’s photography falls in the lineage of documentary photography, exploring the simplicity of daily life and everyday people.
