Moises Abreu, owner of New Heightz Grocery Store, took on some of Santa’s duties this Christmas. The local grocery store owner in Reading, Pennsylvania hosted a toy giveaway on Christmas Eve. If you know Moises, then you would already know he is constantly giving back to his community, therefore he knew he wanted to do something a bit more special for the kids on Christmas.
Moises dressed up as Santa and filled a pickup truck full of toys to giveaway to kids and families in the communities. There a lot of families who simply do not have the money to buy gifts for their kids on Christmas in Reading, and that is what makes what Moises did even more special.
I had the opportunity a few weeks ago to capture South of Penn Task Force’s holiday party and saw how the kids’ eyes lit up when they received their toys. When Moises asked me to document this toy giveaway for him, I didn’t even think twice even though it was a holiday and my dad’s birthday.
This was a real special Christmas for a lot of kids and I know its one they will remember. If you are in Reading stop by New Heightz Grocery Store located at 209 N. 6th Street, Reading, PA 19601. They are doing amazing things! Take a look below at the images I captured that night!
